ในขณะที่ผู้เขียนบางคนอาจจะบรรยายให้แบ็กรูมส์เป็นสถานที่เปล่าเปลี่ยว คนอื่นๆก็อาจมองมันเป็นสถานที่ที่เต็มไปด้วยกลุ่ม ฝักฝ่าย และชุมชนต่างๆนานาที่มีเอกลักษณ์ พวกมันจะเป็นกลุ่มของมนุษย์หรือเอ็นทิตี้ที่ได้เกาะกลุ่มอยู่ด้วยกันเพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมายบางประการ ไม่ว่าเป้าหมายนั้นจะเป็นการเอาชีวิตรอดหรือสิ่งอื่นไปเลยโดยสิ้นเชิง

Backrooms Robotics is a mass-producing tech company that helps out around The Backrooms. Many tech-related items inside the Backrooms are developed by this mysterious group. Their intentions are somewhat unclear; however, their projects each indicate specific goals. They have been known to dabble in all forms of technology, ranging from grunt technology, like Lamps and Mobile Vacuum Cleaners, to AI and complex machinery, such as Koko. As they seem to have misguided morals, it is unrecommended to trust them, as they have been known to have vague connections to certain unsavory groups.

The Backrooms Nonaligned Trade Group, colloquially known as the B.N.T.G., is an organization of affiliated bases, economic institutions, and regulatory agencies dedicated to the goal of "Peace through Prosperity". With a focus on establishing a centralized trade network, our group has gathered a vast wealth of supplies, contacts, and information otherwise unavailable to most other factions. Since its founding, the B.N.T.G. has created infrastructure for the manufacturing of goods, agriculture, and the exchange of services, forming a pseudo-economy used by most wanderers in one way or another.
Our organization has a strict neutrality doctrine pertaining to the affairs of other groups and will only resort to open conflict when provoked. In the years since our formation, the B.N.T.G. has used these methods to establish a previously unobtainable level of normalcy and comfort for its members and the wanderers they protect while solidifying ourselves as the predominant trade consortium.

Collectively, they are equilibrium in obscurity.

We believe in collaboration between all people and groups regardless of belief and understanding. Without unity, humanity shall continue to live in the dark ages, tearing each other apart for the misunderstood scraps of these realms. Thanks to the assistance of larger groups such as the M.E.G., U.E.C., Eternal Repository, and the Kalag Institute, we have been able to accumulate a wealth of understanding free for all to know.
The I.M.B.H. is a group founded in 1950 to collect and catalog as much as possible about the Backrooms. Hosted in Level 216, they research and host a wide range of historical artifacts from throughout the Backrooms' history.

Any being presenting itself as a so-called “God” is not to be trusted nor followed and will be swiftly eradicated. Those who make claims of divinity are false idols, not to be placed on pedestals but to be torn down.
The Iron Fist are an ancient order whose origins date back to the time of The Lost. Their original purpose was to liberate ancient humans from the rule of tyrannical gods. Over time, however, they have since become radicalized to the extent that they now intend to eradicate all godlike entities in the backrooms — namely those from The Lost's pantheon.

The M.E.G. (Major Explorer Group) is currently the largest faction in the Backrooms, created with the goal of finding an escape. It is divided into small teams, focusing on varying tasks such as exploring, mapping out areas, and terminating hostile entities. The Group is run by "The Overseers", a team of three that watches over the various teams and holds the most knowledge. The M.E.G. has created a publicly accessible database to inform Backrooms denizens on how to identify and deal with the Backrooms' various anomalies. Every day, a new discovery is made. They are not perfect, but no one is. They will find a way out.

More often than not, masks were seen as a means of deception. But on our faces are masks that intend only to find the truth. We, the Masked Maidens, are a product of deception, betrayal, and corruption; it will be us who will bring it down… through any means necessary.
To mask is to reveal.
Starting as the product of a failed experiment run by unknown, corrupt members within the M.E.G., the Masked Maidens are a group dedicated to bringing down the corrupted weeds infecting what are meant to be "good" groups. Divided into nine unique sectors and scattered across hidden stations across the levels of Cluster I, they are constantly growing in number - even going as far as forming hidden alliances to achieve their goal. As such, comes a single wish from them all:

"The Pantheon" is an ancient group of godlike entities that was worshiped by The Lost. Once believed to have been the creators of The Backrooms as a personal paradise, these beings were revered and respected for many ages. However, this prosperity came to an end when The Iron Fist revolted against them. Today, the gods are but mere wayward husks, scattered across all different corners of The Backrooms.

Unbound by fear, united by bravery. We are the only way for man to persist, despite the conditions. It is our cause to expand and fabricate the perfect utopia so that no foul beast will bring harm to anyone ever again.
The U.E.C. is a group founded by a former M.E.G. member named Diana Stewards, an entity biologist who lost her family in an entity attack. Her original vision of the U.E.C. was contorted by her followers into a genocidal tyrant, and since then they have developed powerful and dangerous weaponry to take over the Backrooms at any cost.
